Emotional intelligence has become a standard in leadership development, but it is no longer enough. In my work, I see leaders who understand emotions well, yet still avoid the decisions that matter. This article introduces emotional maturity as a deeper leadership capacity – the ability to stay with reality, carry its emotional cost, and act consciously.
