“You grabbed a ladle at your tooth celebration – looks like you are meant to be a chef!”

Some parents still use this kind of reasoning when guiding their children toward a career path.

In one of the episodes of “Other News,” Sergey Tantushyan and I, trainers and co-authors of the “zoom in!” career orientation program, shared our thoughts on helping teens build decision-making skills.

The program aims to support teens and youth in discovering their strengths and weaknesses through self-awareness, with a focus on nurturing what they are naturally good at.

We also discussed some of the cultural aspects that influence career choices, such as national mindset, family traditions, and more.
