In this special International HR Day 2026 message, as the Chairman of the Armenian HR Association, I reflect on the evolution of the HR profession and community in Armenia. Looking back on decades of professional growth and sixteen years leading the Association, I share insights on how the HR field has transformed – from explaining what HR is, to building professional standards, education, certifications, and a strong community of practitioners.

The message highlights the importance of collaboration, mutual support, and collective ambition. I discuss the unique culture of the Armenian HR community, the balance between cooperation and healthy competition, Armenia’s growing role in international HR platforms, and the responsibility of HR professionals to strengthen themselves in order to create meaningful change. It is both a celebration of the profession and a call to continue building a stronger, more visible Armenian HR voice globally.
